Dear Friends,
I hope you have a clear plan that survived the billions of dollars spent and the confusing information dump coming from both political parties. It is time for a clear path forward.
If you do, send me an email and let me know. For today, I am writing for those who feel the old ennui. The election has left you somewhat adrift. Perhaps your car battery is dead. You feel restless, and you are inclined to do some planning, but not yet because it is, after all, not yet Thanksgiving, the Halloween High is over, and there's always time for planning between Christmas and New Year. Which is all true. The problem is, it takes 90 days to seriously implement. Do something now, or you will likely repeat every mistake of 2024 that is holding you prisoner. Change is hard, and retaining the gains you make to cope with the passage of time is elusive because habit change takes effort and inspiration.
So I ask that youu make your own Holiday - a Fall triggering Event that says MY future IS important - more so than all the constant advertising barrage. So if you pull the trigger now, your purpose will show up in some form, but you will need about 90 days to fully assimilate it into your world. And then the follow up begins.
So I urge you to artificially create some urgency to he extent you schedule the time to address this. It might take a day or two spent alone in the library or in the woods - but you are worth it. So start there - affirm yourself and then act. You can do this at home, but if you want to get away from everything, there is a wonderful school for this called the MEA - Modern Elder Academy. Whether at home or away, here is a quote to start up your internal work with a necessary perspective: "My life has been full of terrible misfortunes, most of which never happened." Michel de Montaigne
What this means is that the What IS NOW is reality and you must focus on that instead of focusing on the What IFs of life. You are alive NOW and the day has enough trouble of its own. No need to invent bad things, as it takes away your energy.
For many, including me, this has an inherent conflict - that is, if I live exclusively in the NOW, how can I plan without thinking about the future? You will find your answer to this, but only if you can live in the NOW, where the strength to conquer the future is built.
Call or email me to share some fun thoughts.
Happy Days Ahead
